Arts In Education - Coser 403Curtain Up, Light the Lights! The 403 Arts-in-Education CoSer helps schools enrich the lives of their students by providing opportunities to experience the performing and visual arts. Through the 403 CoSer, students in grades K-12 can attend theatrical performances produced by national touring companies right in their own back yards.School districts can take students to productions, musical revues, art exhibits, or cultutral and historical points of interests outside the district. Field trips that incorporate curriculum connections to the arts and cultutral studies can also be arranged through this CoSer. Theatre Works, USA BOCES contracts annually with TheatreWorks , USA in New York City to present 5 live theatrical performances for students in K- 6. These performances are presented in school auditoriums across our BOCES region. Study guides with extension activities for students are made available for teachers prior to the performances. Students can be treated to Broadway performances, concerts, museums, and other culturally related opportunities through this CoSer. Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Cattaraugus-Allegany BOCES is proud to announce that the BPO will once again be coming to Olean High School for a series of educational concerts for 2nd, 5th, and 8th graders. Artist in Residency Artist-in-Residency provides participating schools with the opportunity for local artists to work directly with teachers and students within that school district on a specified project or content area.
